I felt like I was staying in a castle at this hotel, very in keeping with its surroundings. The food was excellent, and we even had friends over for dinner to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The only downside was the uncomfortable chairs in the garden, but everything else was perfect.

The room felt like a part of a castle, very fitting with the theme of the hotel. Everything was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The only complaint is that our room was at the far end of the property, overlooking the street.

The service was exceptional. The staff organized a BBQ and traditional guitar/singing music in the gardens, which was a lovely touch. They were attentive and even rectified a booking mistake without any fuss. It truly made our stay memorable.

The location was truly spectacular, offering stunning views and easy access to beautiful Ciudad Rodrigo. Being in the center of this historic area was a real treat, enhancing our overall experience. The only downside was that it felt a bit overpriced.

Dining at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the breakfast spread was splendid with a variety of local specialties and fresh items, the price was a bit high compared to other places we visited. However, the lack of vegetables and language barriers with the staff were disappointing.

The hotel offered a range of facilities that enhanced our stay, from room service to organized tours. However, the lack of comfortable outdoor seating was a bit of a letdown given the beautiful surroundings.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were very comfortable with a beautiful view from the small veranda, although they did have a persistent smell of cigarette smoke. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even offering to adjust our booking when we missed a meal. The location was excellent for exploring the town on foot, but we did have concerns about the security of leaving our car overnight. The dining options were a bit hit or miss, with a splendid array of local specialties but lacking in variety and quality in some areas.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, offering interesting views from the windows. The service was attentive and friendly, although they seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. The location, situated in a medieval castle in the old town, was convenient with easy access to local restaurants. The dining options were fair but could have been improved. The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

The hotel felt like stepping into a castle, very much in keeping with its historical charm. The food was excellent, and we even celebrated my friends' 40th anniversary with a perfect dinner. The staff couldn't have been more praiseworthy. The only downside was the uncomfortable garden chairs; everything else was perfect.

Rooms
8.0
The room, set in a circular keep and adorned with a castle-like design, was cozy and well-furnished. The WiFi, though slow due to the thick walls, worked fine overall.
Service
7.0
The staff recommended a walk on the city wall, which added to our experience. However, they seemed overwhelmed during dinner service, affecting the pace a bit. Despite this, their assistance with room service, car hire, and other services was excellent.
Location

The hotel, nestled in the historical Ciudad Rodrigo, was a great base for exploring the old city and its captivating walls. While finding the hotel wasn't a problem, secure parking could be improved. Its proximity to local restaurants was convenient.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience, though refined and tasteful, felt overpriced and didn't quite match the value for money. The fresh vegetables added a nice touch, but overall, we found it pricy for what was offered.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered basic facilities, but they were well-maintained. It would benefit from some enhancements to justify the price better.
